THE STORY BEHIND ELIZABETH GRANT
Elizabeth Grant International Inc. is a sixty year old Canadian Skin Care company focused on producing the most highly advanced luxury skincare products. Elizabeth Grant Skin Care continues to evolve, but one thing remains the same; every product includes this powerful patented anti-aging ingredient – a blend of vitamins, proteins, botanicals and anti-oxidants that penetrate deep into the skin helping to restore skin’s essential moisture, stimulate collagen and elastin production and repair damaged skin.
Elizabeth Grant started her multi-million dollar beauty empire in the UK in the 1950’s. At the time, Elizabeth was working as a make-up artist at Elstree Studios in London. She worked on many famous faces including: Vivian Leigh, Sean Connery, Robert Taylor, and Noel Coward. Soon many of Elizabeth’s clients were begging for her Skin Care secrets. Elizabeth realized she had miracle ingredient. She refined her formulation and called it Torricelumn™. In 1958, at a time when it was very unusual for women to start their own business, Elizabeth founded her Skin Care company. Her revolutionary products debuted at select luxury retailers such as Selfridges in London.
Elizabeth Grant has become a family affair. In 1995 Elizabeth’s daughter-in-law, Marion Witz joined the company as President and moved the growing cosmetic company to Canada. She has grown the company from a home-based business to an international success, and has been honored with Profit Magazine’s W100 Award for Canada’s Top Women Entrepreneurs several years in a row. Margot Grant, Elizabeth’s granddaughter joined the company in 2004 and has worked with her mother and grandmother to continue developing and expanding Elizabeth Grant to appeal to a wider audience. She evolved the logo from the classic cursive EG, and initiated a redesign of the packaging. She works very closely with product development, and is launching a range of beauty products aimed at a younger audience than the traditional Elizabeth Grant clientelle. She has injected the brand with a new customer base and has resulted in a product that is often heralded as a ‘beauty favourite’ by top editors around the world. The company now boasts an A-list following with fans such as J.Lo, Rosario Dawson, and Petra
Nemcova among others.
